Wanborough Wasps Donate Football Kit to Educate the Kids

Wanborough Junior Football Club (“the Wasps”) has donated previous season’s football kit - jackets, jumpers, shirts, shorts and boots of various sizes, to Educate the Kids. Lorna Goodwin, who manages and coaches the girl’s team, handed over the kit to Sue Stevens, the Somerset organiser for Educate the Kids, in Burnham on Sea. Club Chairman, Ray Pethick said “We are pleased to donate our previously used kit so that it can be put to such good use for the Jolaurabi School in Mombasa, Kenya. Hopefully, this will encourage more children, both boys and girls, to take up football.” Lorna Goodwin said “It is brilliant that the kit can be re-cycled and be beneficial to children who have so very little in life.” Sue Stevens, said “We are very grateful to Wanborough Wasps for the donation of so much really good football kit, and every child in at Jolaurabi School were given an item of clothing” For more general information visit: www.educatethekids.com or contact Sue Stevens on 01278 782789
