As many of you will be aware, each team is required to mark the opposition at the end of every
league match. Marks are awarded to both the opposition players, and also to the opposition officials
and supporters, to reflect their behaviour, sportsmanship and … during the match. At the end of the
season, the league publishes tables showing how all the teams have scored.
Three years ago next season’s under-10 team was one of the highest-scoring teams, giving their
players the opportunity to play at the County Ground, and two years ago next season’s under-12
team achieved the highest mark in the league. The Club is delighted to say that last season was
probably the best yet in terms of the sportsmanship results, with all teams scoring very highly.
Particular mention must however go to the under-8 team (managed by Simon James and Per-Axel
Worensjo) which achieved the highest mark – and received a large trophy – in their age group; the
